The enamel on this oval badge is in a rich dark cobalt blue background with a coat of Arms and the motto with old English spelling “Trouthe & Honour Fredom & Curteisye” in a white ribbon scroll. It measures 4cms from top to bottom and is just over 3cms wide.
It's in good, used, vintage condition.
INTERESTING FACT
This motto is from Geoffrey Chaucers "The Gentil Knight - Canterbury Tales" and has been adopted by various Universities, Colleges and High Schools in the UK.
